Default got me a SLIK!

just got myself a new tripod~ it's rather expensive in thailand though... got a SLIK Sprint Pro GM/SL for 90SGD here in thailand. It's a nice sturdy magnesium alloy tripod - black! Nice!!! Ball head too` only thing... no panning thingy...

Ooops! My reply too late? The panhead version is approx 1kg. Slightly heavier.

The 1 with the 3 way head more stable, & can hold larger weight.
I have that as a travelling tripod... really small, really useful.

Default I just bought this tripod from US...

waiting for it to be sent. Won a bid in the ebay. It is cheap but the shipping is a killer.

But no choice, won the auction so have to pay. It costs a total of about S$109.

See link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...851118420&rd=1

I know I am stupid but I did it. So tripod issue is out of my shopping list!

I actually have another way which is to send to my friend in US and he sent to me. But it comes back to almost the same.

Now looking at other accessories for my FZ20(still waiting from US with a Kingmax platinuim 1GB Sd card). But the price for the camera and SD card(plus total S&H) that I get is definitely cheaper than Sin.

So gain in one way but lose another. The world is round!

3 kg is not very heavy for me leh cos if not I won't be called spiderman.

I was thinking once and for all get a good tripod. BTW, not gonna use so often. If I really need one, maybe I will get a lighter one later. Anyway I think it is a good tripod.

Default Hey guys! look who's buying the same tripod as me!...

see link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3851118420

Hmmm....looks like I am not the only one getting heavy tripod. Donkuok is getting too. But it is really a very good tripod according to the pic. I am waiting for it after making the payment today.

Do monitor this seller, I just monitored last night that some lucky chap won the auction with USD$1.25 (item only) for another tripod. It is not the same tripod that I had won and bought but it is good enough and worth the $$$!The tripod looks like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...851269599&rd=1

Yes you may be surprised that it starts at USD$0.25. But the actions starts at the last 8 mins or so when the bid keeps increasing. That guy who won that with only USD$1.25! I saw it(until that bid ended) myself . He was really lucky cos I think no one was interested in that tripod at THAT TIME of bidding. I

If you lost the bid, don't be dismay, cos the sellers has a lot of similiar tripods for auction. Really worth to check it out. As for seller's profile, he or rather the store is quite reilable with many good feedbacks and transactions made. They do offer combine shipping too(i.e. if you bid more than one items). Yes maybe the shipping costs may be a little costly but what I am trying to say is that try to bid those stands not more than USD$20.00 for heavy tripod and not more than USD$12.00 for lighter tripods(just my opinion).

Have fun bidding.
