Talking Holga/Woca 120 getting films developed?

Hey up, I have recently bought a holga. like 2 days ago actually. ive just got two films developed(b&w) bit of a silly question but where i live its digital everything and the only shop that knew about stuff closed down.. so long story short,
i asked for them to develop it, i wasnt sure if i should get a contact sheet instead of normal prints. they advised against a contact sheet, which is fair enough but i wanted to see how the shots came out so thats why i thought that, but anyway i got the prints back and they are standard, i opted for borders which worked but they are obveriously not square.. so
what would any advise i ask for when i take my next batch of films in? i would like a square negative on say a contact sheet so i can scan it in.. bearing in mind i dont have the greatest scanner
here are some of the shots i got back

any advise or anything would be great!

i am truely in love with this camera, i have nothing bad to say about it whatsoever.

thankya

firstly cool shots you have there...

did you shoot the holga the square format way?

i presume that if you shot it in a 6x6 way, and the negs are square, and you want the photos that are printed to come out square, not rectangular as those in your website?

if thats the case, you could request the prints to be "fit in" instead of cropped. but im not sure if you use the same terminology in the UK..

another thing that i say when i send in the holga negs for developing and printing is to request to print of '4S' paper instead of 4R, this paper is slightly shorter than 4R and has less of a border . .. but im not thats what you want and whether they operate the same way over in UK.

hope you manage to get the stuff done according to what you want! good luck!

yes yes and yes!!
thankyou so much. i dont like the idea of my prints being so clean cut and rectangular it takes away something.. so ill try and ask for that next time and hope for the best. people hear are rubbish! holga haters and all that.
what about a contact sheet? would they come out square? i could easily scan from them too?!
thankya
