Default My first attempt at diptych. Streets of Melbourne.

    1. in what area is critique to be sought?
Do these two shots work well together?

    2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
Capture some of the feeling of the city life.

    3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
The one on the left was shot "from the hip" while crossing the road. I was using the 18-55 kit lens, but wish I had a faster lens.

    4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
I wasn't sure if I liked these shots individually, so I thought putting them together could rescue it. ;D

Too dark to my liking. I don't see the relationship between the 2 scenes.
If you don't like the photos, why bother ? Lumping 2 scenes together which has little correlation between them doesn't makes it more interesting that they themselves alone.

Your photo(s) gives me a feeling of quietness of the street at night. Not sure if that is the kind of feeling you are trying to describe Melbourne.

There definitely is a certain mood to both pictures. It seems to me like you are trying to say the streets are a cold and lonely place. But other than the mood there's no other relation between these pictures.
