    Hmm..my two cents...

Stop bringing your D70 out...Go out to those places you normally go for shoots. Stand and watch. Stand and think, 'if i got my D70, i will do this or that....'

Then if you think u have the motivation to start shooting again, bring out ur D70 with a prime lens, would recommend a 50mm/35mm Prime lens and just shoot with that lens.

Shooting is about visioning behind the camera. It's doesnt require you to keep shooting. Hope this helps.

    why use 50mm prime lens?

(50mm is supposed to be the same focal length as our eyeball right?)

    but why 50mm?

cheapest prime so less damage to the wallet

you can use 35mm/28mm to go wide or even 90/100mm for tele/marco.

    Hmm...two reasons

50mm prime is the cheapest and one of the sharpest lens around. 2nd...50mm is supposed to the the same focal length of our eyeball..though this will not happen if u are using a D70. Old photographers used to make use of 50mm lens to sharpen their vision of framing a composition.

You will understand that once u used a prime, you will be searching for angles(ie stand or squat) or viewpoint to improve your composition, unlike a zoom lens where u will automatically zoom in/out.
