Wai.. Photo Events forums is for announcements of the various competitions, contests, courses, exhibitions and seminars only. I'm moving this thread over to Photojournalism forum instead for Events Coverage and Sports Illustrated.

I use 1/25 to 1/30 for panning shot

the optical viewfinder is really useful in this situation...

i swing a bit only...

any comments on the composition for the panning shots?

did i crop it correctly? anyway to improve it?

btw, those panning shots are taken with tripod, i found that it is much easier to pan this way and the results is also better

should i use longer exposure and pan longer to make the background even blurer?

Default hi Kamwai, I'm no motorsports photog but...

the panning looks great. I can really feel the excitement and speed in the majority of your series.

For the first few shots, maybe you could have tried a lower angle for a more dramatic effect and maybe also can reduce background objects. My thoughts.

Don't think longer exposures would do well... it will make the panning much more difficult to keep the subject in focus. Your chance of getting a sharp shot will be much less.
