Chateau de Chillon, at Montreux.. few hours ride from Geneva.
Montreux was famous for it's annual jazz festival, this chateau is on the shore of lake Geneva. It's a museum now, they said it changes the function few times.

Spain ( only manage to go to Barcelona )

#3
Forcing myself to passed-by Barcelona for it's architecture.. but even after visiting few of his building i still can't really understand what Gaudi's want.. ( not really a good student when i'm in uni hehe ) But from his building my personal favourite is "La Pedrera of Caixa Catalunya" especially the roof terrace. Really an exciting place to just sit around and doing nothing
The sculptural elements of the roof and you can see Sagrada familia at the background

And other reason? of course Barcelona FC & Estadi Camp Nou.. watch a match there ( Barcelona vs Almeria ) great atmosphere, shouting a lot to the referees with the locals.. i can't imagine how's the stadium like during the El Classico...
The Stadium after the match...

France ( only Paris and Chamonix )

#5
My favourite city on my trip is Paris. Now i understand why people really loves Paris.
The outdoor cafe at the pedestrian.. hundreds museums to visit.. great city to go walk around or just lazing at the gardens.
The night life, the food, everything... except the fact that it's quite expensive to live..
Night shot on an intersection beside Jardin des Tuileries...

And i really wanted to see the infamous "Monalisa"
really crowded with tourist, she's really the idol in Musee du Louvre, some tourists even get inside the louvre to see her then go off.. ( didnt make use of the expensive entry admission haha )
I'm surprised that the size of her is quite small... much smaller than i thought

And Holland ( Amsterdam and few other cities )

#7
Amsterdam is really different from Paris, smaller and feels more intimate than Paris. With the must visit "coffeeshop" and redlight district, and all the street and the alleys, somehow feels like in Tanjong Pagar area for me haha...
A night in a street of Amsterdam after raining whole day :|

And there's not Holland without the windmill, so i force my friends there to bring me to see windmill and they bring me to this Kinderdijk..
The windmills are cute and interesting. And the weather there is crazy.. it's like very sunny, then suddenly dark, then hard rain, then sunny again, and so on :|
I saw this grandma on her bike from far then frame this scene... then i just realize 1/200 is not fast enough to freeze her... wahlau.. she's like bicycling really fast... can considered speeding...

ok, that's the introduction of the 4 countries... will start to post slowly tomorrow
cheers..

i can understand why u put this as your first shot. it's great and the colors and contrast are far better than the panaromic series (i like that too, but after seeing this, this is even better)

Wow, the first shot of the Matterhorn blew me away! It's amazing You were at Montreux? Did you see the Freddie Mercury statue there? I want to go there just because of that haha.

I luv Gaudi's works. A Catalonian once told me that it is as if he was viewing through a crystal ball when drafting his works, which explained for the distorted forms. Despite this peculiar display of aestheticism, there is no compromise to the principles of architecture, namely, functionality. In colloquial terms, good to see and good to eat.

I hope someone will rediscover the magic of this crystal ball once again, soon.

Thanks for sharing this pic... brought back good memories...
