Nice series. I like the overall spacey feel and bird in #1. Just wondering...what are the screens at the back?

I like #9 too!
How did you manage to get such a clean image at ISO 1600? Was there any special technique? |

thanks guys..
![]() i hope they aren't too mundane - the idea here is scenes which are open to interpretation.. and i wish i had more shadows and light to work with but these days in london, it's a permanent grey kingdom so getting very few keepers which stay in line with what i want. lujke85 - thanks for the welcome back! ![]() imvane - the screens are just some panel boards for adverts.. ![]() htcahhtc - i think that was worth a try actually, your idea is to blur out the people moving in the background? was shooting in av priority and just grabbing shots, etc.. didn't quite have time to think about it, but i think it would definitely improve the mood of the picture - right now it looks quite mundane from my perspective.hamustar - nope.. i didn't run it through any noise reduction program either.. but darkening the shadows does help , since noise is most prevalent in the shadows. in a well exposed photograph the k20d does handle noise at 1600 iso pretty well. 3200 iso is a different story though. |

Nice- You're moving away from your traditional UWA shots to introduce these, providing undistorted (pun) truths in the society. Very unique style, you even managed to capture the dood's reflection in #3. tyco / skillful, great masterpiece!

Wow, impressive pics...
#7 is great, but would have chosen #5 as favourite if not for that man at the back.... the lighting looks great! |

very good set of candids indeed, and great timing/eye for quite a few of them!
I especially liked #4, #5, #7 and #10.

Hey Bro,
This stream of photos give me a sense of 'solitude'. some of the pictures taken are perfectly timed such as #15 & #2 where there are interactions between the different subjects/elements in the photo.

Hehe, been waiting for you to post more your series before i vote~
#5 gets my fav vote for the great lighting from top left~ Just look at how the light shine through the puff of exhaled smoke! And i will say #6, #11 and #12 gets my vote as well (Though i guess most of the bro and sis here didn't vote for them) The mood from #6 is pretty nice, though it may be, to some of us, pretty common. I don't know how to explain, just nice mood. Nitpick is the other reflection at the bottom. As for #11, i guess most of us will be drawn to the blur motion of the lady in the shot immediately. I took a while to notice there is a advertisement on the right of a man in tribal dress up. It somehow brings out the difference between static and motion, urban and native. Not sure if i am right about your thoughts of this shot? ![]() For #12, it also bring out a pretty good contrast. A couple in their loving mood and a single lady in a relaxing mood (a puff and drinking). And apparently, the loving mood is more attractive compared to her relaxing mood so much so that she took a look at the couple. And it makes viewer think, what was the lady thinking in her mind. Every of these shots have a particular meaning~ Pardon me for my english in the description. Not good la. ![]()
