Default Questions on films

for shooting macro/close up (insects.. flowers),
what kind of film to use? (for both neg. and slides)

and also, what is the difference in costs between neg and slides?
(inclusive of processing)

For me , I use Fujifilm Velvia and Kodak Elitechrome Extra Color 100 to take insects and flowers.

Slides Cost :
Fujifilm Velvia - $9++
Kodak Elitechrome Extra Color 100 - $7

Process Cost :
RGB Color Lab - $4.80 per roll ...

I am not sure of negative film
