pls help about photo developing....

hi.am newbie for camera.just want to know if i want to send my photo that i took on my DC,should i just send my smart media card to them but some of my friend say burn into CD is cheaper.but how?like use what software..pls help me...and give details pls....really appreciate...arigato..

Do you have the proper hardware to begin with? Do have a CD Writer?
