Any idea what is the good bistro or cafe that nice for eating and chit chat .... preferably that one open long hours, so can sit longer hehehe

PS = Plaza Singapura. it's at the end of orchard road, near Dhoby Ghaut MRT

Bar Stop @ devonshire road.
went there recently. food was good, ppl were friendly and fairly attentive, cosy ambience.
think they converted a 2 story townhouse.
went there on a monday nite so there wasnt that many customers.

another place that is nice and cosy is roomful of blues @ prinsep st.
not much for dinner but you can have dinner over at either Mr Bean's or cafe cartel, (both located within a stone's throw from each other) and proceed to roomful for after dark activities....

shangrila hotel lobby court,nice earl grey and comfy enviroment with a singer till 11pm+ ,last order at 12midnite,but u can stay as long as u wish.

Yup i second this place. Converted from a fine dining restaurant (Grill on Devonshire) to the current Bar-Stop (more casual). They have drinks from hot coffee/tea to beer and wine. Happy hours from 5-9pm. Opens till 1am/2am. Food ranges from sandwiches, steaks, fish & chips to sushi. Prices reasonable. (sit upstairs

hmmm...when i went there, the waitress said that the dinner is best served outside, although she did point out that i can sit anywhere i want inside too....took a quick glance at the interior and decided not that good for proper dining....dont want to get food dropping all the way from the plate to my lap!!

did ya had dinner there too? how u find the food?
