dang, the prices keep falling and falling. Anyways, the camera is an unregrettable buy around the $900 range. Awesome camera.

The trigger voltage for this strobe is less than 6 volts. It is written on the box. I measured it on the spot to confirm.
Sent a query on Suntax 328AZ trigger voltage to Suntax International Singapore and got the following reply.

The trigger voltage for 328AZ is low but the exposed voltage is at 250- 300VDC range.

The 328TZ trigger voltage is at 3.8Vdc and is safe for digital camera.

- does that means the 328AZ is too high => 250-300vDC exposed voltage.
anyone have any idea what is "exposed voltage"?

Mine is not 328TZ (Thyristor system) but the AZ (automatic system) - anyone care to share his knowledge here ?

Use a piece of toilet... sorry ... a piece of tissue paper to cover the flash.

Works for me.

You can reduce the strength of the flash output. See page 39!
