Went back for night shots in the evening.


[Refering to pic below] Can't see the patterns on the lit up "pillars".
Question: What i should have done to make this picture better?

[Refering to pic below] Here the top part is too dark, i increased the exposure but the lighting then became too bright.
Question: How can i have a brighter background yet not over-exposing the deco lighting? Thanks in advance.

Shoot earlier in the evening at the golden hour around and just after sunset to get a balance between the sky and the lights. Other than that, try "fill light" in Lightroom, or "shadows" in Photoshop, or play around with curves?

Hi Darren, thanks for the advice. I believe Lightroom is another photo editing sofware just like Photoshop? I don't have PS too, but will start looking into these software soon. Right now i am only using Microsoft Office Picture manager to do simple rotate, crop, resize and autocorrect

Toshio, download Picasa 3.5, Irfanview, and Photoscape... can do almost everything with these 3 apps. I did... hahaha... anyways, your photos have been good. I slideshowed through your flickr. Okay, mah...
