#13 - Novice Buddhist monks blow horns made from sea shells before a morning puja (prayer) at Pemayangtse Gompa near Pelling in the Indian Himalayan state of Sikkim. Pemayangtse built in 1705, literally translated as 'Perfect Sublime Lotus', is one of Sikkim's oldest and most significant Nyingmapa monasteries.

Shall post something different to break from the monotonous red saffrons.

#14 - Indian soldiers cover their faces from the dust as they ride in the back of a military transport vehicle near Lachung in the Indian Himalayan state of Sikkim.

Scanner bro, since you and I are such good drinking buddies with the same facial reactions upon consuming our beloved draught, I think one of these days you and I should take AReality bro to Kashmir, walking down the strip of no-mens'-land between Kashmir and Pakistan, then down south-east to Amritsar, before moving north-east to Daramsala...
We can all enjoy our favourite face-bashing alcoholic beverages every night...
What say you?

Because the 14th Dalai Lama travelled through to Darjeeling an Gangtok freely as a young man. And his accounts of Sikkim is most fascinating. Therefore Sikkim- Bhutan - Tibet, these three closed ones need to be set foot upon...
Hehehe.. my humbe humble dream only lah...

Sorry, AReality for the OT too. Scanner he too much... showed me pictures of two Tibetan monks blowing so hard on their long bone trumpet until their faces became contorted!
Next time if three of us ever go up to Middle Asia (Uzbekistan, Kazakstan, Turjekistan) to explore the ancient Sogdian civilisation, I am going to learn every thing from both of you. Suck you all dry dry....
