From my past experiences, I've decided to stay with Original batteries..Simply put, it's not worth the $$ / hassle to go with OEM / 3rd party batteries..

For me, it's worth everything to go with 3rd party batts as they perform better than originals at a small fraction of the price.

I've been using 3rd party batts since over 4 years ago and so far no issues.

Erm.. can you elaborate further? Do you really mean charging a lens using a charger?

3rd party batteries rock! 3 times the performance that cost 3 times less. I've always been using 3rd party with no problems.

I was told by a camera shokeeper in orchard road that 3rd party battery might spoil Nikon camera and might void warranty. After I heard that, I spent 78 bucks on original Nikon battery.
is what he said true? |

Aiyo. Which shop is that? Please tell. Just out to sell you what they want to you. If can "spoil" your camera so easily, erm i think those 3rd party batteries coy shall close down or get sued by now. I think its more of "at your own risk" and looking from responses (if you do your homework), the most user will share is that after a while, they might not hold their charge as great as the originals.

I think the 3rd party markets holds its share for users who have rather pleasant experience with them. Have been using 3rd party stuffs (not just batteries), so i can only share my personal experiences to these batteries.

I use them, but not when I get to colder places, cause they often 'die' while the OEMs don't.
