Default Penumbral Lunar Eclipse 9th Feb 2009

My friend told me about this.

During a penumbral eclipse the Full Moon will gradually darken as it passes through the outer edge of Earth’s shadow.

These pale eclipses are faint and hard to see.

Thanks Krisgage for showing this set; it's quite obvious when you can compare the earlier pics with the last at 0046H. I shot one at 2204H, didn't look impressive and I didn't continue after that. I'm in KL btw.

Oic. Its bit hard to tell. At first I thought I was looking for some super dark shadow covering the moon but in fact i was wrong. therefore i went to google for some sample photos and realise it just there !

I was expecting a dark shadow too, initially. I witnessed a full eclipse before and it's an eerie red glow in the skies. I would like to see that again, but no, it wasn't to be.

    Here's my take that night.
