My only complain is the price for both the cam & the VG.

Sony hopes to dominate with its alpha camera
It aims for at least 10% of the DSLR camera's global market share http://www.todayonline.com/pdf_open.asp?id=1210NSL010

I agree. But I personally find the grip ergonomically a bit off, especially how the buttons were placed. Then again, It's still a good addition bah.
Grip can buy later after one has familiarise himself with the functions on the A700 body, so, financially still can recurperate a bit before the next purchase... |

Hey Guys, thanks for all the wonderful feedback.
I have one big burning question: 1. where can I buy the A700? MS color still not stocked, and I'm way too busy with work to hunt around. Also, what is the best price that we can buy the A700? Been struggling with my 5D lately, and I believe I've got a good case to upgrade ![]() thanks in advance for your help. (sorry for not posting so long - even considered jumping to Nikon Camp, but am glad that I held out). |

yeah surprised me too.. might be because of the AF assist... but dun worry, din even notice any red light projected on the wall.. so i guess it wun be disturbing for your subjects...
now what i really like to find out better is its focusing on continuos moving objects... and the proper way of setting the settings... cannot be using spot focus anymore cause the subject is not always on the center (eg if subject walk from left frame to right frame?) If use wide area focusing then how it determine which is the subject i want to focus on? any suggestions? |
