American Bald Eagle in Alaska

I took this beauty in the wild of Alaska, just south of the city of Anchorage. Nursing a jetlag in the afternoon there, a coffee in the hand was a necessity. I used a Nikon D70S, with a 70-300VR f4.5 Lens. This image was bought by BBC for the front cover of a wildlife DVD series narrated by David Attenborough (European Edition)

"Put your money on the Lenses!!"

you definitely have convinced me, that there really no need for top camera body for me as a beginner when you have such exceptional shots with a D70s. really puts to shame those equipment chasers man...

Yes indeed, this beauty was standing on the tree branch. I was lucky it didn't fly away, even with a 300mm lens, to get this close is a miracle

hey, mind sharing which DVD this was used for? I love david Attenborough's works and have most of his DVD... obviously not this one hence the question!
