Default Some pics from Kyoto

(Was posting in the Panasonic forum and thought I might as well share my pics here...)

Took another trip to Kyoto recently: did not use my DSLR as I was traveling with my family and it was easier to use the Panasonic LX1 with a Gorillapod.

Here's a couple of shots from the trip, no PP except for resizing and framing with gray border:

Mount Fuji (from plane, 4:3, uncropped)

Nishiki Market, Kyoto (16:9, uncropped)

Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kyoto (16:9, uncropped)

Arashiyama, Kyoto (16:9, uncropped)

Tea House at Kinkaku-ji, Kyoto (4:3, uncropped)

Thanks for the photos of Kyoto.

It's a sin to go to Japan and just bring a PNS.

Nah, I beg to differ... it is very liberating to bring a PNS or a camera like the LX2 simply because you can use the energy you save from lugging big pieces of equipment and use that energy to explore further or go to more places.

ya... its not about the camera, i think the size of the PNS sometimes helps me be creative with angles I can't do on my colossal DSLR!

Man, nice pictures. Is that the shrine which was featured in the movie Memoirs of a Geisha? or are there just many shrines like that in Japan.

No worries, I usually carry two cameras a DSLR and a PNS when I'm travelling.

Two is one and one is none.

Hahha... well, to each his own. So long we get good shots, what camera was used really doesn't matter
