Default Ang Mo Kio Park (IR)

Hi everyone,

I was at Ang Mo Kio Park this morning and took some IR shots. Got bitten by red ants many times. It seems that this park has got a lot of them, and everywhere

agree... the last one is the best in terms of framing.

oh yes, there's a pond there. it's a lotus pond. every now and then, the parks people will plant lotus there and then clear the whole lot when they die. the whole cycle will take place again; plant, remove, plant, remove, etc.

Hi, thanks for viewing! I didn't know that pond is being maintained. It looks like a deserted pond...

Thanks! This was my first time going to that park after 20 years. Things have changed a lot. Somehow this park reminds me of that cartoon, Madacasgar.

Erm. Not too sure how true it is but when my gf who was teaching in one of the schools across the park a few years back, one of her students look frightened and said she saw something in the park.

Another one, which I'm not sure of is a rumour that there was a case where a woman was raped and killed. This I heard from the Aunties in the wet market who told my mother.

Factiva came up with
Something strange in the neighbourhood?
By Chong Chee Kin.
9 September 2001
Straits Times
"In his armoury are an infrared thermal gun to record temperature changes in different spots within an area, and an electromagnetic field meter to detect energy waves. Once, they took a reading in a park in Ang Mo Kio park. The temperature was over 20 deg C except for one spot near a bush where it was 14 deg C."

Better take this topic elsewhere! Else Mod might close it and say its OT!
