Default Can the admin take a look at the Fujifilm sub-forum

There seems to be unnecessary closing of threads even though there isn't much activity.

Also take a look at this post : http://forums.clubsnap.org/showpost....2&postcount=20

in this thread :

Thank you for your kind attention.

Yes agree too much in Active thread is not healthy.

I believe the point we are trying to bring up is, this is a trend only in Fuji subforum, and it is not happening elsewhere in other subforum. If this is the rules-of-engagement in ClubSnap, then all moderators should play by the rule. And not only 1 player.

Some threads have 2 to 3 pages, and closed by the mod.
And the Thread Starter did not get a good reply, AND started another thread again. Doesn't this result in a more messy forum then?

This will be similar to your having many shops and no business view.

In fact, keep 1 thread active is more informative than have multiple threads coz the original one is locked.

However, I do agree that if the thread really really goes off-topic, there is flaming, etc etc, then the Mod has the right to close it, or split the thread ( I am sure there is such a function ).

So, will the relevant Moderators, kindly look into this seriously.

Yes, it does not seems like an issue, as many ClubSnap Fujifilm Sub-Forumers are keeping quiet and neutral to this. But judging from the number of post in Fuji Subforum, which is not many as compared to Canon and Nikon, the problem might be due to the nature of the Moderator's approach on governing the forum.

PS: I am a regular reading, but rarely post as I am but a casual photographer.

Cheers...
Antz

threads should not be closed because they are inactive.
what if someone wishes to post an update on an old issue/topic?

threads should only be closed when the discussion gets out of hand and is against forum policies.

Those threads in the Buy & Sell needs more attention than the rest.
Just look at how many "item sold" threads still open?

anyway, T.S should just send a PM to the mod who closed it, instead of giving sarcastic remarks on the bottom of the reply.

I think it was a case of "What is good for the goose is not good for the gander" wrt to Cheesecake and his actions.

While Espn was still at large, Cheesecake condoned Espn's OT posts and even egged him on by carrying on with him. His online association with Espn was so cordial with that he has even lamented (as you have) Espn's disappearance in a thread on Kopitiam late last week.

But as the mod of the Fujifilm subforum, he is quick to shutdown threads and discussions he deems to have run it's course. His previous and some say even current behaviour on other subforums is inconsistent with his gestapo like actions as mod on the fujifilm subforum.

Thanks Cheesecake for hearing us out.

I am glad you are listening to opinions from forumers on their views, that is a good as it will definately make you a better mod. It will also make Fujifilm Subforum a better place to be as well.

I am sure, in the future, Forumers will exercise courtesy in trying not to OT too much, causing the Thread Starter from getting his answer.

Cheers...
