I am curious whether others have the same ghostly color balls... I didn't
see it when I was doing the shoot. wonder why these balls have
colors too.

Hi there,

No offence but I see nothing wrong with that.
Hosea is trying to share with Night Photography Enthusiasts here his work for us to ponder on and also to inspire others to try out different techniques and tricks in Night Photography. Thank you for your understanding.

I tend to believe it is the flare of the light esp for the upper one... but the below round
ball and the color of the ball is unknown. Hopefully this is just a flare of the light.

Hi Stan,

After looking at it for quite a while. I think that the lower one looks more like a flare than the upper one.

The upper one looks really interesting. Let us hope that it is a flare.

Hi Francis, maybe both are just flare...the only unresolve issue is why are they so colorful..

It seems like a flare to me, nothing so strage...it can be some dust or spots on ur filter/lens that causes the flare due to the strong light coming from the house..

And light is very unpredictable..u never noe wat medium it passes through..
Just like when white light passes through a prism u get different color of lights..

If u happen to get strange effects, try shifting ur camera positions and take again..

I thk it is flare caued by the strong light from the house. The light is shinning at ur direction. If it is not, then I wouldn't want to think further
