Yes, de RB52S2 is compatible for S2 & S3.
Nope, it dun cum wif hood and it's 52mm.

Only the original Canon branded item comes with the lenshood and the thread size is 58mm. 3rd party ones like Raynox, Lensmate, etc only comes with the adapter and thread size is 52mm and 58mm, depending on your needs and wants.

Can those who already have the Raynox S2/S3 adapters kindly contribute opinions as to whether this is much better than the original Canon adapter?

From what I know, the Canon one is plastic and does not seem rugged or safe enough (higher chance of cross-threading) for use with high quality lenses like those from Raynox.

But it's better to hear from users please.......

TkQ all for ya support in my Raynox thread.
ALL the listed Raynox lenses are handed back to Jim Mcgill and any furture orders will have to made direct to Jim. Tis MO/MS list will be transferred to the Mcgill Sticky.

Sorry I cant coordinate any orders for ya guys anymore due to my personal engagements.
AFAIK, collections would be done every two months and deposits will recvd thru Bank transfer.
You can still throw ya queries to me if ya have any. If my time permits I can let ya try my own raynox lenses.

Tzesian, ya order is still on and Jim will contact ya direct. Having a hard time to sourcing for the stock. Sorry to keep ya waiting.
