Default Nomination for wind30 to be Moderator

Hi,

wonder if it's possible to nominate wind30 to be a moderator?

I find him very against OT and very strict about it. Probably a very good choice as a moderator for keeping threads free from OT and contribute greatly to hardware related threads like the recent sony alpha thread and also the S3 Pro Dynamic Range thread and many others. Great contributions and no OT from him at all alawys.

Just got a feeling that he will be a great one.

Let's start a voting list:

Vote for wind30 to be the best no-OT and moderator

when more moderators are needed, the admin will ask for a vote..if not everyone can be a moderator just by voting

Is there a moderator screening committee? Something like the Elections Department screening and checking credentials?

Is this like a friend of friend thingy or do clubsnap actually try very hard to find "independant" people/talents to volunteer like ***?

Just curious.

The *** refers to any decent organization.

The adminstrators and the moderators are not blind, they will know if the person is capable or not.

I think wind30 is very capable, I see his photos in the subforum I also feel he can shoot too!!!!

The chosen ones will be screened and audited by the admins and agreed with the mods. So they are the committee I guess.

You're mistaken, I only know wind30 through his character and posts, I don't know him personally, so I'm not considered a friend of his.

I would volunteer if I can, but too bad I'm not of such high calibre,

So far all ther moderators are selected by the administrators. It is not a current practise of the administrators to appoint moderators based on members' nomination, nor is there an election process for moderators.

As far as OT posts are concerned, I think I have explained the admins' and mods' stand clearly enough.

While we are short-handed in the sense that we cannot police every single discussion thread in CS to make sure everything is in proper place, we do not see the need to appoint an additional moderator with the sole task of dealing with OT posts.

Nonetheless, espn, your nominated is noted. Thanks for your suggestion.
