Unless your grass is also providing reflections then im sure it's ghosting.

If you are retaking the picture, i suggest a closer view of the face and positioning your camera lower so that the picture is looking upwards towards the face. This would give a more dynamic impact on the burden of carrying the cross. What you have is more of a spectator/onlooker view - it does not portray the statue of Jesus and passion (suffering) of the cross.
