Manage to take a pic of this Butterfly which landed infront of me. Still found it difficult as it kept flying off, and landing else where again.
Taken with FZ10+Nikon 6T, F8, ISO 80, ExposureTime : 1/100Sec #1: Wing span #2 Frontal shot #3: Shadow: Does this work for you? Would like to know your opinion on this. Thought the shadow makes it interesting??? Appreciate any critique. Thanks!

1st shot i think the DOF is deeper is better...can see more details of the left wing of the fly. I love this the most though. 2nd photo, uses of reflector of fill in flash would be good. The bottow part of the fly loss of details. 3rd photo i think the fly is underexpose...not much detail also. keep up the work! I am still learning also. Cheers

I think #3 has the greatest potential because of the composition of the leaves. If only butterfly was more colourful and didn't blend in with the shadow on the leaf behind.

Thanks benedium and tantingchin for your comments!
Agreed that if the butt had been more colourful, the pic #3 may be better. Thanks for looking! ![]()
