IR-shooting outing No.VII
The weather today is simply unpredictable. It just rain and stop...then starts to rain at anytime. Managed to get 2 pictures that I like a lot. Do Give me your comment. 1) Shed - This provide us with a shelter from the rain. So I decided to pay tribute to it. ![]() 2) Nissan March ![]() Well, although the bad weather, that did not bring us down on wanting to shoot. Way to go guys!! |

All of us mainly shoot Digital IR. This is done with putting an IR filter in front of the lens to filter out the Infra Red spectrum of the sun's rays. The colours are achieved by doing some post processing with photo editing software. There are several threads HERE pertaining to IR photography. THIS LINK will give you an idea of the post processing done to get the colours. Various IR filters available in the market, like the ELP, Ilford SFX, Hoya R72. Each filter giving different IR results. Some detailed explanations can be found in the above thread link. As you're using a D70, there is no problem in shooting IR, a few of us use the D70 also. What you need is to get a IR filter and come join us in our shoot, we will gladly share what we know with you. Last edited by teerex; 8th March 2005 at 06:17 PM. |

Come join us and we will get you "hooked" To me, I get to learn a 'new' form of photography on one hand. On the other, I get to meet new friends. The friendship that has created is priceless here.
