I had a look at your picture gallery listed in your signature.
I think you may want to read up on the following and most of your problem of blur pictures will probably be solved :
1) handshake blur
Shutter speed faster than 1/actual focal length
If your focal length is 40mm, use a shutter speed faster than 1/40 for handheld shots.
2) motion blur
(casued byu the movement of subject image across the image sensor).
So the shutter speed necessary to freeze the subject depends on how large the subject image is on the sensor (your shooting distance, focal length and size of subject) and how fast the image moves (speed and direction).
A rough guide :
posed shots - 1/30 or faster
candid - 1/60 or faster
walking movement - 1/125 or faster
Dancing - 1/250 or faster
Sports - 1/500 or faster
3) Depth of Field
DOF is different at different aperture, focal length and shooting distance. Sometimes blur is due to too shallow DOF. To have more DOF, use a smaller aperture (keeping in mind that a smaller aperture would result in a slower shutter speed which may cause handshake or motion blur and so you may need to use a higher ISO to compensate it).
Calculation of DOF :

4) Relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO
If necessary, pump up your ISO to achieve the necessary shutter speed to avoid blur. This is because using a larger aperture may have an undesirable effect of a shallower DOF.
