In the figure above shows 3 positions.
1) Focus Area Selection - You are free to choose any focus points by pressing the 4 way cursor keys and the center button with engraved "AF". Your selection will be reflected on the LCD display as shown in the figure below.
2) Focus Area Lock - Switch to this option to lock what you've selected in (1).
3) Wide Focus Area - Half press and hold the shutter button, it will choose the most easy focusing point to focus. You can also press and hold the "AF" button or the 4 way cursor keys to focus, as well as spot AF.
