Autozam AZ-1, or Mazda AZ-1, Mazda AZ-550 or Suzuki Cara

Mid-engined two-seat sports coupé 'kei class' car, designed and manufactured by Suzuki but sold by Mazda under its 'Autozam' brand. It debuted in October 1992 until production ceased in 1994, and was perhaps most noted for its gullwing doors. Power came from the same Suzuki-sourced 657 cc inline 3cylinder 12V DOHC turbocharged engine that produced 64bhp @ 6500rpm and 85Nm @ 4000rpm. Suzuki produced its own badge engineered version named the Suzuki Cara.
Autozam / Mazda AZ-1 - From October 1992–1995, 4392 units.
Suzuki Cara - From 1993–1995, 531 units.

Re: My '2012 Autobacs Super GT Round 3' experience @ Sepang Malaysia
When i first saw this Mercedes Benz SL... immediately in my head is "it can't be the real thing! Not in this colour, not in a commoner's number plate, not in RHD!" But i was very excited looking at this car... this car tries to look like the 200 units limited edition LHD AMG SL65 Black series with 661bhp it's 6000cc V12 twin turbo engine. I must say that it looks pretty good none the less.
The obvious give away is the real thing do away with the folding metal top, having a fixed roof instead. This has the normal convertible metal top. The real thing wouldn't be in this crazy colour! The wheels are not the ones AMG gave to this SL65 Black series... the fuel flap is not correct. It is of the normal SL instead of the real SL65 Black series, which have a square fuel lid, & it doesn't go into the widen rear arch. But i have to give credit to this one, it is very beautifully crafted. This one has a stuck on rear spoiler while the rear thing has a pop up thingy. The real one has an integrated roll cage within but this one totally blacken out windows i can't even see in... hahaha... Otherwise, the front bumper, fenders, bonnet, rear diffuser & exhaust looks very good & close to the real thing! Very clever. This wheel design is also very beautiful...
Oh, one more thing, the brakes of course are not the same as the ones on the real SL65 Black Series. Don't be surprise, this car might not even be an AMG SL63 or SL65 to begin with, it could even be just a Mercedes Benz SL300/SL350/SL500 to begin with... the modification done to this car looks very very top notch.
