1st time taking firework for NDP. Not sure whether whether settings were proper or correct ? C&C are welcome, but please be gentle as I still need improvements. Thanks for viewing.

    Hi,

What is the exposure time you used to capture these fireworks?

Using Canon 60D with 10-22mm len. Manual setting at f/11, ISO100 and Exposure time 1.3sec. Firework cropped to get closer view.

In my opinion, there are colour contrast and sharpness in your firework shots but they look kinda hard.
Try a longer exposure time of 2.5~5 sec. The effect should be better.

Firework starts around 7.45pm with a few burst here and there till 8pm approx. You have to be early to get a good spot.

Not sure whether the color contract was due to editing with Lightroom or as u mentioned need a longer exposure. Maybe I will try it on National Day to see the difference. Still learning to get the perfect color and exposure for Firework. Thanks.

Effort wise, I think its good. Just try a longer exposure next time, then try to include landmarks such as buildings (ex: MBS, Esplanade, etc.) so it can be easily identified that it was taken on such places.
    Canon 550D /18-135/50 1.8/75-300 USM III/10-22/70-200 f2.8L IS II/

    Thanks, Turboredbean,

I took them at the Merlion site. Those that on display are actually 100% cropped to get the firework effect. The MBS building was omitted out from it.
