Dry Box for Overseas
Hi guys, I'll be going overseas soon for a period of about 5-6 months. However, my concern is that I cannot bring my dry cabinet over since its too bulky. Any recommendations on how I can go about prevent fungus growth in my camera and lens?
I'll be going to US btw. I'm not sure if the humidity level there will help.
Thanks!

Re: Dry Box for Overseas
5-6months is actually ok without a dry box. I am sure you'll be using it every now and then, so not much of a problem.

Fungus is only a problem in hot & humid & dark conditions. Indiana's climate is not like this typically. You don't have to worry....

I dunno but I think I have a good idea... Why not pack a pack of plastic, and a bottle of silica gel with some mini coffee filter bags?
When you need to, throw in your stuff into a plastic bag, fill a filter bag with silica gel and tie them into the plastic bag together? I think this sounds a lot more "portable".. *shrugs*

Come US then buy lah
But I don't think you need to worry that much about the humidity in Indiana. I'm in Chicago and my gear was fine when I kept it in a drawer for two years, with frequent use
