Mike is good...anthony where do u stay? there are a few around the area that does pretty good and decent services on scanning..if u r in the west..can try grace...develop plus scan for just $5-6 a roll...the more roll u bring the cheaper it is...and their printing services is cheap and good...best..u can get them in an hr or 2 time. sad thing is, they don do b&w.

i will visit them if i return from a trip with many rolls...cos i don have the luxury to scan them myself...but if im shooting just 1 roll, i will most probably visit triple D if i need to cross process slides..if not, just any of those kodak shops and bring home myself for scanning

I stay at Shunfu Ville, Shunfu Road, off Marymount Road. I have a Colorcentre here close by but they are horrible and charge S$ 9.50 per roll. Where is this Grace you talk about?.

If you drive, or live quite close by, Grace is a good one too. I live in the west (Jurong), but I find that going to Grace is a 2 - 3 step public transport transfer for me. I had tried them once, but found that it was just a little too troublesome.

Triple D is further for me, but I find that its more convenient as I can pass by from work

Somehow, your URL ends with an an / which should not be there. Also, your image size is too large. Lengthwise keep to max 1000.

Need to pop up this thread.

Where is everybody, CNY is over and all must have wonderful photos to show?

MWP: Read that you've just added the OM 18f3.5 to your collection. Let's see some photos.

I have not had a chance to use it yet. Initial impression is that need to compensate for overexposure and have to watch for flare. Not as easy as 21/3.5 to use. Will post some photos soon.

On a separate note, I will like to ask if anyone knows the aperture setting on the camera will affect metering for MF lenses. For example, if you close down the aperture of the lens to f8 and the aperture setting on the camera is at f3.5. Will the metering be inaccurate?

For everyone of my individual lens I need to understand how its aperture will affect my different metering modes thru many trial and error shots. This is a major disadvantage using non-Canon mount lenses. To me is like shooting film in the good old days. When I decide to shoot at a specific aperture, using center spot or partial metering, I will test the metering at different tones/colors/shades and highlight of my subject/s and dial in the compensation, take a couple of shorts and choose the best. Evaluative metering will be less accurate and I will use it only for general landscapes. For this reason and also owing to age and degradation of my poor eyesight, I have decided to move to Pentax. I will be selling off my entire collection of OM lenses plus my 5D.

This is probably OT in this thread. Does Pentax offer more accurate metering?

Pentax K5 is an excellent camera. I have 2 Pentax lenses. With all the Pentax legacy lenses aperture is controlled at the camera. For the later range of excellent manual focus 'A' lenses the camera support all the different metering modes and treat them as the same as the AF lenses. I will just need to pick up a good A 50f1.4 to partner my 35f2 and 135f2.5 and just buy a good 17-50f2.8 AF zoom. Together with this I will most likely pick up the Fuji X100 which will be with me all the time.

Anyone need any of my OM collection please let me know.

You can see them individually at my flicker account. Only the 50f3.5 macro complete with the 1:1 25x extender is not posted because I use it to shoot all the photos.

And you are selling these even before the first outing!

Seems like we will have one less contributor to this thread. Nevermind, I will keep it going. There are a few OM lenses which I think is really good.

Hey MWP, we did gather last year..... only 4 people though. Anthony, Sinned, Gwun Wai and I were all there. I've been trying to strike up another outing, rather unsuccessfully as I have a tight schedule as well. Now that Anthony is going over to Pentax, I think the thread contribution is going to thin out even more..... By the way Anthony, let me know the price tags of your camera and lenses.

I have not crossed over yet as this change is not only drastic but going to be expensive as I will lose alot, especially my mint looking 5D (11K SC). We can always have outing and if MWP is in town, I am still game, as he has most of the good lenses.

Anyway, I will take my time, and if it doesn't work, then I will still be here.

Hey, I have just offered someone the whole lot for S$ 2K.
