CF Adapter for D700

Does anyone know or have used such adapter in D700? It is type 1 but not sure if it really works.

Yes i'm curious too . if we choose to use 95mbs uhs sd card with the CF adapter , would we loose out on performance?

As in lost of speed or degrading of data , etc ?

Would like to hear from friends here who have first hand experience.

The Micro SD adapter to SD is work great on my D7000.

Last time I'm wanted to get the SD to CF adaptor, just lazy to buy from eBay.

I tried using an SD to CF adaptor with a SanDisk extreme sd card and a D700. it works but the write is a bit slow and some files were corrupted. Can't say I can rexommend this method.

Can you remove the micro SD card from the camera without pulling out the adapter?

Looking from the pic it seems not possible, both insertion points are adjacent to each other

You used SD or micro SD? I thought SD to CF adapter is type 2 and not possible to slot into D700

Just want to update this thread that I got the setup working.

I bought this adapter upon hearing type 2 is possible after some hacking.

SDHC SD/MMC to CF Type-II Card Adapter - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

Some dissassembly required to remove the casing and insert just the "sd/naked adapter/metal plate" hamburger into D700 slot. It works even with the Eye-Fi Connect X2 4 GB!

Hi star13,

I did not make the video. Just remove the casing and slot in carefully. Unlike the video above, this adapter does not have a compartment to hold the SD card, everything has to be pressed together.
