Make sure you buy new micro fiber or lens clothes.

Don't use the after used clothes they will stick some oily base.

If your dusty not so serious pls using the air blower to blow it out only.

If sensor got stick dust also can used the blower to shots it out.

And turn your camera facing down and shots from down side.

Huh the viewfinder won't spoil or dust go in.

    Pls check it up.

If DX body all the VF has been fully sealed.

No matter how you blow the dust or air they won't go inside the cover or PBC cover.

When you look the dusty is from the mirror or mirror top got white color plastic cover for you the see inside the mirror.

Should be for whole thing. Even so it is way way too expensive...it's ok, I already decided to DIY. Like mention if accidentally scratch the old piece, I will just use it as a reason to change to the split-prism one

If they can mount a dSLR on a car rig, I suppose the same can be done on a bicycle. I just don't know if there will be any issues.

I think it would be safer and lighter to use a GoPro instead

    Focusing in the dark

Went to sky bridge last night and could not auto focus In the dark.

Turned on the auto focus illumination that turns on the bulb and helps in establishing focus.

Noticed that the bulb does not illuminate the subject in the middle but slightly on the right side, perhaps light direction is that way, which is not very useful.

What is a good approach for focusing in the dark.

My canon 600d used annoying pre-flashes and was effective, is there something similar in d7000 ?

If you mount a Nikon speedlight (SB600 and above) and use center focus point, the flash can emit a grid pattern from the AF illuminator on the flash. It is less irritating than the camera's AF illuminator. It helps with accurate AF too
