Re: Yashica Twin Lens Reflex Users?
I've never used omax close-ups, but they seem to be good for TLRs, as they have parallax correction, and they come with attachments for both the viewing and taking lens, making it very convenient.
I don't take a lot of close-ups (lazy), as the close-up filters I have are series 5, using an adapter. Problem is, they don't come in a set for the viewing and taking lens, and I need to adjust the camera height after composing. But they are cheap. Ebay vendors sell the adapters/close-up filters from SGD7 onwards each.

Re: Yashica Twin Lens Reflex Users?
Finally found a Yashica Mat at a reasonable price and completing a dream since the day I used an film SLR. Seems to be in good working condition.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed with the 12 exposures I have taken with it.

Re: Yashica Twin Lens Reflex Users?
First roll off my Yashica-Mat. Kodak Tri-X 100.
The flare resistance is really weak. Would a hood help?
I can certainly see the potential in detail retention on such a large format, but Ive still a long way to go.

Re: Yashica Twin Lens Reflex Users?
Hi, for those who may want to look for the battery, you can get it from a battery shop on 2nd floor Sim Lim Square. H-D 625 for $1.50. Be reminded that it contains mercury, but I have yet to get an official reply from NEA on how to dispose of it. Happy shooting. Found it flares easily.
