It's a DIY diffuser we made from daiso materials. It's called the victor setup because uncle victor was the one that first made it or something (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Join us for our outings to find out la..

Bon, haha.... I hope you are referring to me. I'd made it clear in one of the thread that I did not actually discover this Daiso chopping board material first. A kaki of mine, Alfred used it first and recommended it to us. I just suggested to make the cutout diffuser a little more concaved and in addition, my idea of using a reflector(made of any shiny material) attached to the top of the flash which would project more light to the lower part of the diffuser to achieve better light distribution onto the subject. (see pic below) If can, try to use a low height flash. You can't just use the chopping board material alone. Reinforcement of some thin and soft sheet of polyfoam material is necessary. Can buy at Diaso also. Just use 3M spray mount to stick them on both side of the chopping board. Of course you could decide the shape and size of the diffuser. A square shape would be just nice. Can trim the corners to make them rounded. It's all up to you. And that's it.

    Hi guys,

I'm actually very interested in the 'victor' diffuser, so i did one for myself. But i would like to know if i had bought the right materials. I'm actually confused about the daiso chopping board. There are 2 types. One is the very hard type and the other is very flimsy and bendable. Not too sure if i did it right, comments would be appreciated.
