Default Mole Cricket & Pygmy Mole Cricket

    Mole Cricket

About 2-3 cm long, spend most of its life underground, hence the small eyes and strong front legs.

    Yup. These guys are elusive.

My son found this for me while he was playing at the Jurong Lake Park outside of the Japanese Garden.

There is another smaller type, about 0.5 cm, all black, that can be seen at the sandy children playground. Will post it when I am free tonight.

    Thanks for appreciating it.

The black pygmy sand crickets are actually pretty abundant. Can see them at the children sandy playground. Just that they are really small, and hopping around in high speed. My lens basically dug into the sands to get a shot of these guys.
