The rimelite seems better, they have this Digital Encoder thing.. which i guess will help you to freeze fast motion.. their English is real bad.

not sure what is so great about controlling the light output by using the dial though...

Actually the ECD series from Jinbei also has a 'digital encoder' for controlling flash power.
The above-mentioned 'digital encoder' does not freeze fast motion... freezing fast motion depends on other factors...

Example : ECD 600

The original head is 600w? how about the additional head at $220? it should be 600w also right?

so if i attached 2 600w heads to this battery pack, i can only get 300w at each head right?

Correct...The power pack determines the power availability, not the heads...

i did some readings for the past few days..

i realised my first post is not very accurate. But i'm not saying this post will be more better. anyway, here is what i found so far...

jinbei pilot is the best (?) range , i like the fact it offer 7 stops. i also like its bowen mount.. i think at least i am open to more accessories.. not so sure if this helps.. i don't own any big lights..

union 6 is the second best range from rime lite.. it offers 4.5 stops range... the mount is rime lite, and i guess it is propriety.

i will update as i get more info...

The Power Action 6 is the professional outdoor flash unit by RiME LITE. The battery pack is equipped & readied to fire at 600w only. Thus, attaching another flash head to it only split the total power output into 2 ie 300w + 300w. This is rather standard among most portable flash unit in the market.

The standard package comes with 1 x Flash Head, 1 x Battery Pack, 1 x Sync Cable, 1 x Handle, 1 x Standard Reflector, 1 x Charger, 1 x Bag for Battery Pack & 1 x Bag for the entire set.

FYI, the RiME LITE mounting is similar to Bowen mounting and no issue of using Third Party (Bowen Mounting) Accessories. BTW, UNION is the third product line from RiME LITE and not second. Nonetheless, its using the same flash tube & parts like its bigger brothers; XB PRIME & MIRA and also the standard 2 Years Warranty.

some questions.

1) i can use jinbei reflectors, umbrella, softbox, lightstands to use with ALL rime lite head? i'm considering the XB PRIME range

2) can the flash tube and modelling lamp be replace by the user easily?

3) cost of flash tube and modelling lamp?

4) where can the user buy them(flash tube and modelling lamp)?

5) i plan to DIY my own battery pack using a 12v DC battery and a 1500w inverter, do you have users who have did it before?

6) if i buy from you, how do i pay you and how is the delivery made? Do you have an office in Singapore?

7) How do we send the equipments to you for service? How do you service the equipments when they are send back for service? You send them back to korea to service?

Hi,

Yes you can use other brand's accessories as long as it is Bowen/RiME LITE mounting. However, I do not recommend the soft boxes from most of the China's make as its directly affect the lighting quality.

The XB Prime is the best of its range and received very good feedbacks from professional commercial studios. Presently the XB Prime is not selling in Singapore and only available through special order. The Modeling Bulb & Flash Tube can be easily replace by the user. The flash tube is specially designed with approx 100,000 flashes and cost around SGD 100/pc from us. As per the Modeling Bulb, you can get it from lighting shop that selling Osram bulb.

We do not have users who DIY the power pack themselves. As you may aware that the most important component for a power pack is the Inverter. But most Inverter from Sim Lim Tower do not seems to fit into this category. A poorer quality inverter affects the recycling time of the flash greatly as most of the time they over rated their power for continuous usage. On the safe side, I suggest you choose a higher power Inverter such as 2400w instead of the 1500w.

For servicing, you can send to Artworkfoto and will be send to our Malaysia main office. We have all the technical support from the Hyundae technical team from Hyundae.

For UNION & FAME series, you may visit Artworkfoto @ Midlink Plaza and for XB Prime model, you'll need to put a special order with Michael (Artworkfoto).

2) In Singapore, do you only sell one (1) type of rimelite that come with battery pack ?

3 ) For 600w Power Action Pack with 1 Flash Head attached, what's the series of the head ?

4) What's the maximum and minimum flash power for that battery pack type ?

5) For that type, does it have remote control function which similar with Elinchrom Skyport ?
