Here's another 2 more shots of a very lovely cherubim statue in the war memorial. I think this is the only 1 i saw there. I just loved it.

#6 - An angelic Cherubim all alone in a graveyard.

#7 - "I wonder who will visit me today...."

    TBC later.

#12 - A Pano of the area as seen from the war memorial looking to the exit

#13 - This is the only Jewish grave ( I think) that i found in the whole cemetery. I like it because it's the only 1 out of thousands of graves. I may be wrong but i went pretty much around the whole area and only noticed this.

That's all from this War Memorial. Feel free to comment on the photos.

For other shots, please feel free to visit my Flickr stream Kranji War Memorial in IR - a set on Flickr

I would like to end with a quote from my favourite Metal Band, Paradise Lost :
"Faith Divides Us, But Death Unites Us...

Hi there, I am not good at all in photography so I will comment from a layman's point of view haha.
For me #9 is the one that is effective in potraying melancholy. Gives a feeling of all roads lead to one destination ... Emptiness or death or something haha.
    Cheers!

Thanks man....yup...i like that one too. Somehow after looking back at the set, i think it's a hit or miss thing...Sigh...maybe i'm just over doing the melancholy-sadness-death thing and hence i don't seem to be able to portray it very good (if at all in this set of photos). I had a theme going on before i went for the photo shoot and was hooked on Doom Metal (a bit un-related to photography but for me it gets me into the above said melancholy-sadness-death thing) and was trying hard to achieve that. Oh well, if in anycase i didn't manage to portray that, i'll just have to keep on trying ya. Thanks anyway!
