The Merlion Park will be coming alive with a dazzling display of light projections, sound and pyrotechnics.

The Merlion & I: An Inspiring Journey lightshow featuring the newly-restored Merlion will showcase how this well-loved icon has evolved to inspire generations of Singaporeans and visitors alike. Heart-warming stories and memories shared on the Singapore Memory Project's initiative 'irememberMerlion' will also be featured.

Do keep a look out as well for dancers from various schools who will be performing within the crowd to the lightshow. Visitors can also create new memories and record them for posterity with new photographs taken against the celebration backdrop. The interactive experience will be captured on Facebook.

Admission to the lightshow is free and all are welcome to take part in recreating this special Singapore memory. Lightshow timings: 12 Sept: 8:30pm, 9:15pm, 10.00pm, 10:30pm 13-16 Sept: 7:15pm, 7:45pm, 8:30pm, 9:15pm, 10.00pm, 10:30pm
