6th ~ 8th April (Good Friday Weekend) : Johor Outing - Kukup, Pontian, Muar, Kahang

After few successful JB outing with good response, I am trying to organise a trip to extend beyond JB to to other area in Johor. Here is the itinerary I am proposing, let see whether we have good response to make this happens.


6th April :
- Meet at JB 9am, get our coffee done and ice breaking
- Travel to Kukup ( What can you expect here ? )
- After lunch, we travel to Pontian, famous town of Wanton noodle. I would look for the fishing wholesale market activities where the fish stall owner bid for fish when the boat back to Jetty.
- Back to JB and check in hotel


7th April :
- Morning kick off at 7am ; go for breakfast, I suggest Penang prawn mee
- Drive to Mount Ophir/Gunung Ledang, and hike to Check Point 1, 2
- Drive to Muar town and check in and lunch
- Visit Sungai Mati and Oxbow Lake
- Bird-watching at Parit Jawa
- Visit "Otak" factory
- Visit Tanjung Emas (Estuary of Muar river) and Sunset River Cruise


8th April
- Breakfast and check out
- Drive to Air Hitam, visit organic farm and makan organic steamboat
- Backt o JB by late noon

Since I dun expect everyone to be driving, I am thinking off renting a van to JB to drive around. We need to know who is driving and who can be van driver on 7th , 8th.
All are cost sharing basic. Please register here (follow the format), and PM me your contact, name, email. Tentatively make it 8, I am not sure how big the van we can rent.

I would be driving my own vehicle on 7th and 8th. Hence we need another driver if we are going to rent a 7 seater MPV or 8 or 10 seater van.

Itinerary

6th April :

- Follow by kopi, satay, pan fried fish/seafood for supper



7th April :
- Morning kick off at 7am ; go for breakfast, Penang prawn mee
- Drive to Mount Ophir/Gunung Ledang for 2.5hr
- Walk 20mins to reach Puteri Waterfall, and another 25mins to Kolam Puteri (swimming possible)
- Lunch at Tangkak town for the famous beef noodle for lunch
- Drive to Muar, a town touted to be food haven for gluttons
- Visit Sungai Mati and Oxbow Lake
- Bird-watching at Parit Jawa
- Visit Tanjung Emas Park (Estuary of Muar river) and Sunset River Cruise
- Dinner at resort, next to Muar River


8th April :
- Breakfast along Glutton Street (贪呷街), which known as "T'am Cjia Kueh" in Hokkien.
- Visit "Otak" factory, and the famous Muar coffee
- Check out and drive to Air Hitam, visit Zenxin Organic Farm, makan organic steamboat
- Backt o JB by late noon

Lodging
I will be driving my own car on these days and not be able to take any passger. We now have hlwong who can drive and able to provide transport. If we can have one more vehicle, that would be ideal. and we dun have to rent MPV which might not be cheap. Those who drive on that day, I suggest they are exempted from cost sharing, the passenger share the cost of fuel & toll.

If we could not 2nd vehicle from the group here, we would have to rent MPV. I would check out after CNY what is the price for 3days rental.
