you would need to carry around several big kilowatt lights if you want to illuminate the harbour.
no, you don't need and shouldn't be using any flash, external or internal. try using Aperture priority and set to F2.8 and see the results. once you know what you can be getting, you could explore with manual exposure and set both the shutter speed and aperture.

guess it depends on your budget. The best ones (in terms of power and flexibility) are probably Nikon SB80DX, Metz 54MZ3, Metz 40MZ3, etc.... each of these cost more than $400....

Aren't these flash TTL? S602Z does not support TTL so what is the benefit of using these?

Yup, I meant best in terms of performance (these flashes also have auto mode), not necessarily all functions are supported. Metz flash does come cheaper with standard shoe.

Can you please elaborate what is meant by auto mode? Does it means TTL mode or "S602Z" flash mode?

Auto means the flash will automatically cut off the flash once it detects enough light outputted from the flash at a preset setting (eg. f4, ISO 100 @ 35mm etc..)
& wat's "S602z" flash mode????

Using auto mode on the flash means that the flash sensor will be the one to detect the exposure and cut off the light when exposure's sufficient. It's not seen "through-the-602's lens" (TTL) but via a sensor located on the flash.
Some flash have manual, auto and TTL modes. Manual mode means the flash will just dump the full power regardless of the scene. Auto will be using the flash sensor to determine exposure, while for TTL the camera will "see" the exposure through the lens and inform the flash when to cut off.
