Real Life Review of Haida ND Filter

I picked up a Haida ND8 filter from Photosphere recently. I've been wanting to buy an ND8 for the longest time, since I have the ND106 and ND110 (6 and 10 stops respectively) from B+W. These are useful at different times of the day to smoothen out water, introduce cloud motion, remove people through motion blur, etc, depending on what your needs are. As a clarification, I have never used other brands' ND8 so this is really just a sharing of thoughts of how the Haida ND8 matches up to my expectations. Note: ND106 and ND110 are stronger ND filters and the B+W versions introduce a warm cast to your photograph. I'm told that the Haida versions introduce a slightly cool cast, so the approach is probably closer to the Lee Big Stopper (which costs a bomb more).

One of the girl is my younger sister.
I never noticed that she has grown up to a pretty young lady till the day I took the photos for her.
It seems she was forever a kid in my mind...

On a recent trip with JBOG kaki, we visited Semporna(Sabah Malaysia). 2 of us decided to go back again in July to do some charity to the Bajau tribe. I am inviting 2-3 more persons to join us for this trip.

Cathay Motion Picture Awards 2013

With its conviction to contribute to the local film-making industry, Cathay Organisation organises an annual short film competition for aspiring filmmakers to garner exposure and experience.

"SanDisk has been made aware of potential product issues involving a very small percentage of its 32GB and 64GB SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSD cards. Under certain circumstances the cards may lock up and the card becomes inaccessible. The issue has been identified and a manufacturing fix has already been put in place. SanDisk stands behind its products and any customer who experiences this issue with the microSD cards cards is asked to contact the SanDisk support center for a resolution immediately."-SanDisk

Several members of the audience went home with autographed copies of Mr Riis`s selected works via lucky draw.

He was on stage for a considerable time to take questions from the audience before the event was concluded.

Isn't it fulfilling to have acquired all the photography skills and equipment knowledge through trial and error, hardwork and enthusiastic volunteering at friends' and company functions?

Wouldn't you like to test and polish your skills in *teaching* what you've learned, to others who are less fortunate and unwell?

If you have a heart for elderly folks, you'll also know it's not easy to teach them complex skills like photography.

But what if... the elderly folk also have very short memory spans, short attention spans, but benefit greatly when they succeed in shooting some visually satisfying photos on their own? This group
