Rugged Coastline.

This photo was taken recently during my holiday trip to Victoria, Australia.
1. In what area is critique to be sought?
Would like to know if the HDR processing of the photo was "overdone". Since I am still trying to improve on HDR processing skill, this is an area that is of more concern to me. Also, feedback on the composition and such would also be much appreciated.
2. What one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
Using this particular photo as a litmus, it would help me in processing the other photos to bring out the best in them.
3. Under what circumstance is the picture taken?
Photo was taken in the late afternoon with an overcast sky during winter.
Thanks in advance and would appreciate any feedbacks.

Re: Rugged Coastline.
rather well done, you've managed to control the process and not made it the 'radioactive' kind.
If I must criticise, is that there is no 1 main subject. All parts seem to share equally for attention. Since you're one of the few who actually obey the laws of lighting direction in HDR, make a bigger step in that direction. You're revealing too much and not hiding enough in this composition.

Seems overdone to me. Compare the appearance of the seas that directly reflects the sunlight to the portion above and below the cliffs to the right. Appears to be tonal reversal. Shouldn't it be the other way round?
Are you sure the sky and the waters are that dark/ominous looking?

I think the composition is fine but yes, HDR is overcooked.

Overly done, Sky doesn't look the way it has to be. though you process it in HDR, Please try to keep it natural. Thus it gives more appealing.

I think this pic is a result from accurate controls, but it looks flat, and if you can put a subject in there would make it almost perfect. Great work!

gorgeous landscape. i love the light, and the "overcooked" supersaturated colours, and even the flare. maybe crop away little of the foreground to tighten up the composition a bit.
well done.
