Hi. I'm actually amused that this thread has become dead.
I would have imagined that there should be quite some discussion here since there are launches of new products by major camera manufacturers.
Anyone has any updates? I shall be heading north within a month, and I shall be happen to report on the situation there.
But meanwhile, anybody's been up north and have any new info?

7D at RM$4500 with SD card and bag. It's better to buy this model locally with what Canon sg is giving. D7000 no stock in whole of Angsana, Mee Too Jusco quoted sky high price which is so atrocious that I do not want to even list here.
If u want to buy the D7000, I suggest ordering from Shashinki.com. Takes about 2 weeks though. Else the BnS is your next best option.

Most likely will be taxed. I think should be exceed 400 instead of 600 for gst...

If I am you, I will not do it. Too much risk involved...
folks need to assume their own risks and get their own lenses. It is really not that hard to go there. I have a friend who took SBS bus into JB, and after clearning JB customs, took the local bus service to Plaza Angsana, bought SGD 5k worth of equipment and took the the local bus service to JB customs and back home to SG. If he can do it, I do not understand why others cannot do it...
