Strange what's wrong with Canon QC lately? I've just had my 7D main board replaced as well. Costs an arm and a leg but what to do? Better than having a 1k+ paperweight lying around (and you can't expect me to sell it without repairing rite?)

Hah my warranty had expired so it was like $500 before GST and CPS member discount. I think Canon earns more money from my equipment servicing than me buying stuffs from Canon.

Play safe. $180 bucks to cover the body. My lens all out of warranty n I seldom use IS.
