Re: 3 movies you watched 3 times or more.
All the Wong Kar Wai films, especially 2046- he has an amazing visual style and ability to film mood. His characters are so fake and yet so real all at the same time.
Tron Legacy- the film is just too cool.
Inception- that movie is about the best mainstream philosophical film I've seen. And if you're keeping track, the point is YOU (not Leo di Cap) doesn't know whether you're awake or sleeping. It's very matrix-like in that sense, although the matrix movies tried to get too smart in the end.
Akira Kurosawa- he really knows how to tell a story.
Before sunrise and before sunset. Those two movies shouldn't be so good, but they are.
Spirited Away, and other Hayao Miyazaki films. I love the strange and abstract, especially when they come with heart.

I find WKW's films too slow, but I do agree his visual style is good.
Kurosawa is of course a well known master.
Haven't seen any of the sunrise/sunset movies though.

IMO, that's cause WKW is filming mood- not plot. So if you use 'pace of story' as a measure, then yeah they are too slow. His movies just get better and better with rewatching, it's like listening to a musical piece you love to set the mood and relax. His movies, to me, are the same. They put you in a mood, and the story really doesn't matter.

So I can just play it like a "background" video, like background music, to set the mood and not really need to watch it at full attention? But it they were meant to be watched in cinemas right? I'll try it one day, with 2046.

Looks like you are Liam fan. I quite like him too. My favourite character that he played was Oscar Schindler of Schindler's List.

Re: 3 movies you watched 3 times or more.
Tsai Ming Liang's In the Mood for Love (Hua Yang Lian Hua). Absolutely brilliant cinematography and mise-en-scene. Minimal conversation and "action scenes", instead using silence and frame composition to maintain tension. Watched it 5 times!

No blu-ray.
Best option is the Criterion collection 2x DVD RSDL dual-layer copy. Or maybe Criterion will do a blu-ray transfer in future

13th Warrior is one of Antonio Banderas' best movie, I believe I watched this 3 times too.
Shawshank is the movie with the most shiok ending!
