  • Crossing Bridges 8 : Faces of Vietnam

Crossing Bridges 8: Vietnam was a very eye opening trip, where the focus is not photography, but understanding the culture and meeting the people of the places we visit while building bridges of understanding and friendship with photographers from different countries.

Here are some slices of the life of the people in Vietnam as seen by some of us who went on this trip.

    Nha Lon, Long Son Island

Long Son is home to an ancient commune. The commune is self sufficient. Nha Lon, meaning "Big House", is the home of Ong Tran religion and the center of this commune. In Nha Lon, the old "Nom" language, which is very similar to Chinese, is still practiced among the holy men. Here are some pictures taken in Long Son Island. You can read more about Long Son HERE.

An old lady who operates a store at the door step of her home. She was really nice to us, offering us free cold drinks and towels to wipe our sweat.
