Later on, Eric helped us crystallize the ideas we had into practical and achievable objectives.
Of course, everyone had lots of practice with the Leicas in the Gallery!
A bevy of Leicas!
A quick group photo of the partial group just before we went out for the entire afternoon to hit the streets and shoot for the project!
But that was before participants were spoilt for choice!
Street pounding near Speaker’s Corner as the group made their way towards Chinatown. Most members decided to initially stick with the group/Eric with a few taking off on their own.
Acute street observations …
Anywhere and everywhere, we managed to put into practice, advanced shooting (up close and personal) that Eric shared with us. For many, it was literally the very first time that participants went right up to strangers, and photographed them within 2 meters, or less! Some shot with flash at this distance, and no one was threatened, screamed at or punched! That’s the Eric Kim Magic Mojo Dust at work!
Coffee break and sharing!
After the end of Day #1 of shooting, we re-convened at the gallery to do a review and short debrief.
Day #2 saw us with a quick start-up of the day’s objectives, review and moving out to hit the streets again till lunch. This day, more participants decided to break-off and explored their own destinations.

The sun beat down on all of us relentlessly, and before any of us realized it, it was time to go back to the gallery for lunch, and the most crucial (some say ‘excruciating’!) portion of the workshop – Editing, and putting the entire project together!
This was probably what we all felt like on Sunday morning!
